findmeidea (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a SaaS tool that scans public Reddit posts to surface validated business pain points for founders and product builders. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.
We take privacy seriously. We collect only what we need, we don’t sell your data, and we don’t track you across the web.
Account data — When you sign up via Clerk, we store your email address and a user ID. We do not store passwords — authentication is handled entirely by Clerk.
Usage data — We record which pain points you view, save, or generate solutions for. This is used to enforce plan limits and improve recommendations.
Billing data — If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer ID and subscription status, but never your card details.
Analytics — We use Vercel Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregated page-view data (no cookies, no cross-site tracking). This data cannot be used to identify you.
findmeidea scrapes publicly available posts from Reddit using Reddit’s public API. We store:
We do not store Reddit usernames or personally identifiable information about Reddit users. All data scraped is already publicly visible on Reddit.
We do not use your data to train AI models. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:
We use only functional cookies necessary for authentication (set by Clerk) and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Vercel Analytics is cookie-free.
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain it (e.g. billing records).
You have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@findmeidea.com.
findmeidea is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top. Continued use of findmeidea after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
